David Chen

Passionate about education as a means for personal development, David is actively finding new ways to engage with the academic world. In 2020 he completed the prestigious National Taiwan University/Fudan University joint EMBA program and taught engineering at National Taipei University of Technology for many years.
An active player in the tech world, in 1995 David founded his first IPO company, Era Design Technology. Era Design was responsible for the design and development of the world’s first tablet computer. Over the following years Era Design evolved into Brinno Incorporated, which was founded in 2003 and listed in 2007.
The Brinno team describes David as both reliable and ambitious but most importantly a friendly face with an open door policy. David’s leadership skills have been recognized most recently with the 25th National Award of Outstanding SMEs (2016), 39th Model of Entrepreneurs (2016), and Top 100 Most Valuable MVP Managers in Taiwan (2019). His hands on management style can be seen through his involvement in all levels of Brinno activities.
A health and fitness buff, in his free-time David can be found training for his next marathon, playing a round of golf, or hiking a new scenic trail.
