Thermal & Infrared Imaging
The Brinno team assisted a professional-grade thermal and infrared imaging company enter into the consumer market by invented a new manufacturing process that ensured the structural integrity of their cameras in extreme conditions.
Brinno helps with NPI to Manufacturing:
- Industrial Design
- Mechanical Engineering
- EE Design
- Reliability Verification
- EMI Scanner
- World Wide Safety
- UL Certification
- Manufacturing of Mechanical Parts
Project Spotlight
Thermal Imaging iPhone Accessory
This product was a revolutionary iPhone accessory that brought on-the-go thermal imaging capabilities to consumers at an affordable price.
The Brinno team assisted with the in the entire NPI process through to manufacturing; this includes early design concepts, production preparations, and the manufacturing of mechanical parts.
Affordable Firefighting Devic
The company has a big range of devices for firefighters but wanted to make their lifesaving devices more accessible by creating a cost-efficient model.
This presented a number of challenges due to the extreme environmental requirements needed, including:
- IP67 dust and waterproof
- Extreme operating temperatures (–10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F): infinity; 85°C (185°F): 15 minutes; 150°C (302°F): 10 minutes; 260°C (500°F): 3 minutes)
- Lightweight and easy to operate
- Withstand a 2-meter drop onto concrete (IEC 60068-2-31)
- Corrosion-proof (ASTM B117, salt spray, 5% saline solution in 48hrs and 35°)
- Shock-proof (IEC 60068-2-8)
Brinno assisted with the industrial design, mechanical engineering and parts manufacturing. The Brinno team also invented a new manufacturing process that bonded two low surface energy materials (plastic and rubber).
